Prep, prime and primp the surfaces of your aircraft before you apply an adhesive to ensure a better hold and a stronger connection. Tempo A-702 Aviation Primer from SkyGeek is a top-quality primer that delivers an exceptional level of quality and precision that every aviator will love. Tempo brand primers are designed for use before the application of an adhesive. They work best on bare steel and aluminum, preparing the surface for bonding and ensuring a stronger hold. Tempo A-702 green zinc phosphate primer can be used before virtually any type of adhesive and boasts a telltale green color to make it easy to see which surfaces have been treated. The primer is sold in a 12-ounce aerosol can for convenience and ease of application. It exceeds an impressive 800 hours of 5% salt spray fog testing, meeting the standards outlined in TT-P-1757A.

Tempo A-702 Aviation Primer goes on easily and dries quickly, offering a tack-free surface in as little as 10 minutes. For the best results, users should wait the full dry time of approximately 48 hours. Once cured, the primer is heat resistant and can tolerate temperatures as high as 350 degrees Fahrenheit, adding an extra layer of protection to your aircraft. Tempo 702 also makes a great abrasion and corrosion-resistant coating, offering greater flexibility for use throughout your aircraft. Take advantage of its adhesion properties as a primer for your next aircraft paint job. Purchase an affordable single canister to try Tempo aviation primer 702 or invest in a whole case to service your garage or hangar and provide excellent coating for years to come. Quantity discounts are available on qualifying orders and a manufacturer’s certification may be added to any order for an additional charge.

    1. Surface must be clean, dry and free of dust before painting. Protect surrounding areas from spray mist. For best results, use when can is between 50°F and 90°F (10°C and 32°C).
    2. Shake can at least one minute after the rattle is heard and occasionally during use.
    3. Spray surface with steady even strokes at a distance of 8 to 10 inches (20 to 25cm). Do not apply excessively as it will greatly increase the drying time. Dries to touch in 20 minutes. Can be top coated in 24 hours.
    4. If clogging develops, turn spray head ¼ turn or remove and clean spray head slot. DO NOT stick pin or other objects into can opening. With can and spray head pointed away from you, reinsert spray head with a gentle twisting motion.
    5. To clear spray head for future use, turn can right side up and spray for 3 seconds. Completely empty cans may be recycled or disposed of with regular trash. Dispose of partially empty cans responsibly. DO NOT incinerate or compact.
