Dow Corning 340 Heat Sink Compound from SkyGeek is designed to penetrate deeply to lubricate your aircraft’s moving parts. Heat Sink 340 is a grease-like silicone fluid that is thickened with metal oxide fillers for better performance and protection in high-heat situations. It promotes a high level of thermal conductivity during flight and is stable at high temperatures. It also has a low bleed rate. Dow Corning 340 lubricant is best used applied to the base and mounting studs of transistors, diodes and silicon-controlled rectifiers. The silicone lubricant also serves as a highly effective thermal coupler for many heat sink devices where it helps maintain a positive heat sink seal which improves heat transfer from the electrical/electronic device to the heat sink or chassis.

Use Dow Corning 340 Heat Sink Lubricant in a variety of aerospace and mechanical applications. The formula is suitable for a wide range of aircraft engines where heat sink properties are required. It can also be used as a high-voltage corona suppressant, nonflammable coating in connections for flyback transformers and TV sets and similar applications. The compound resist changes in consistency at temperatures up to approximately 350°F (177°C) for more reliable performance.
