Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease Silicone is a stiff, non-melting lubricating material that delivers superior stability at high temperatures. The silicone-based grease has a wide range of working temperatures and does well in environments ranging from -40° C to 200° C. It is slightly thicker than typical greases at room temperature and takes noticeably longer to out-gas, but outperforms the competition in high-temperature settings. This grease is very popular as a general laboratory lubricant, in large part due to its low cost and stability. It's also very popular as a stop cock grease as well as for use as an anti-seize grease in ground glass joints. Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease is the recommended replacement for Dow Corning Stop Cock Grease. In aerospace applications, Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease is used to lubricate synthetic and silicone rubber gaskets, particularly ones that are exposed to high temperatures for extended periods of time. However, we would urge caution when using the silicone lubricant as it should be considered at all for use on fluorosilicone "O" rings and gaskets.
Dow Corning High Vacuum Grease from SkyGeek is an excellent value. The specialty lubricant can be used in the aerospace industry as well as in many other settings. The grease maintains excellent lubricating properties in high temperatures and is easy to apply. The lubricant is sold in a 5.3-ounce tube.
