Dow Corning 90-006 Green Aerospace Sealant & Catalyst
Add a protective layer to almost any aircraft surface with the use of Dow Corning 90-006 aerospace sealant and catalyst from SkyGeek. This two-part silicone elastomer adheres well to almost any primed material used in the aerospace industry. Apply it to silicone rubber, glass, a variety of metals and much more. This aerospace sealant is typically used to create a thermal barrier or insulating coating on aircraft parts. It also has pressurization applications. As long as this sealant is in low shear, medium heat flux environments, it retains good ablative characteristics. It also retains its flexibility at temperature extremes and has outstanding resistance to ozone, moisture and weathering.
How to Use DC 90-006Dow Corning 90-006 Aerospace Sealant adheres well to primed surfaces of most materials used in the aerospace and aircraft industries. Typical materials include glass, cured silicone rubber, cork, phenolic, polyester, epoxy, silicone resin laminates and most metals including stainless steel, titanium and aluminium. It may not adhere well to polyethylene or certain plastics and organic materials (including rubber), which bleed or exude plasticisers.
Stronger and more uniform bonds are obtained by preparing metal and plastic surfaces with DOW CORNING 1200 Primer. For best results:
