The York Gust Lok™ helps you avoid the hard-to-notice gust load damage that can occur to an airplane when it's on the ground. Though you may do a completely thorough pre-flight check of your aircraft, it's often hard to accurately determine the flight worthiness of inaccessible controls such as pulleys, control horns, bell-cranks and spars. Even gusts of only 10mph have damaged airplane controls, surfaces and linkage. To avoid this damage, the York Gust Lok™ secures the ailerons and rudder in a neutral position and places the elevator/stabilator in a slight downward position, enhancing its ability to drain water that can freeze and damage aircraft parts or change the aircraft's center of gravity.
