If you're looking for a professional aircraft mechanic's only safe and FOD free turbine oil can opener, you're in the right place. Many times engineers and mechanics will use various tools like screwdrivers and pliers to open turbine oil cans. This can eventually be detrimental to the aircraft because debris like metal shavings can fall off the tools and mix with the oil. After some time, this debris will build up and wear down the hydraulic system or engine's internal moving parts.

Tested and approved by Saybolt laboratory, TheCanKey turbine oil can opener will not leave any debris whatsoever in the oil. It's durable and strong and offers an ergonomic surface that fits comfortably in your hand. It will even fit in your pocket, can attach to a key ring and will pass through any airport security checkpoint.

The CanKey turbine oil can opener is a simple and effective way to minimize downtime and save you money on costly engine repairs.

Can Key - oil can opener
By Aaron from Upland, California on January 7, 2014
We have used it only once and it works just fine. I do have my doubts as to how long it will last. Time will tell.
Pros:
Price was good, and shipping was fast.
Cons:
Its plastic......im not sure if its going to last very long and/or stay sharp to cut through the metal cans.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Turbine Oil Can Opener
By Paul troike from Portland OR on October 23, 2013
Sorry to say the church key didnt work great. It does not punture the can easily and leaves a lip at the edge of the opening so its harder to drain the can. Looks great however!
Pros:
The size and ergonomics are great!
Cons:
Hard to puncture can, actually bends the top before cutting into it and it leaves a larger lip on the edge of the opening compared to other openers.

Ya gotta have the right tool for the job... This is not it.
By Jake from Southern Illinois on August 2, 2013
After using it once, the edge became rather dull. It's almost impossible to use this more than a few times, as it keeps slipping off the can. I am going to buy a new metal one.
Pros:
Nothing Really
Cons:
Wears out in half a heartbeat, small

Nice idea, but not all it could be
By John from Florida on December 27, 2012
The plastic edges show wear with just the first few uses. It's not tough enough for the job. I would buy a metal can opener instead.

Pros:
non metallic,
Cons:

Great Idea
By Victor from Long Island on January 16, 2011
I was always looking for a safer way to open these cans and make sure no metal pieces went into the oil. Now I have it, thanks.
Pros:
Everything

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Not bad at all
By Jack from Cleveland, Ohio on December 22, 2010
This little guy gets the job done. Light, easy to use, decent leverage. Could be a bit longer. The teeth that grip the side of the can seem like they will be the first to wear out though. For sure there won't be any aluminum from the can in your oil tank as the can opener is sharp enough. Nor will there be any metal debris from the opener as it is plastic.
Pros:
Light
Sharp
Looks cool
Good function
Cons:
Teeth have to fit the can just right to open the can
Could be a bit longer for some more leverage as well as more functional for those of us with larger hands

I would recommend this item to a friend.
