Good but over-priced

I'm a crusty old IFR pilot. Switching to electronic charts after 35 years of flying.
Bought for use in Mooney (tight space). Tried a knee "flight desk" from another vendor, which was way too bulky.
Ultimate solution: I got a high quality yoke mount. Yoke mount works great in the Mooney. Way less head-down time this way.
---HOWEVER, if you want to go with a knee mount, this minimalist design is pretty good.

Pros:
Works well. Simple. Sufficiently secure for moderate turbulence. Works equally well on either knee (It is NOT right or left-handed).
Great for use AS PASSENGER, NOT DRIVER in a car too.
Cons:
Price is too high for what you receive.
This thing puts a bending force on the iPad.
Impossible to say how much force is OK!
At this price, it should have a built-in stiffener so that there is no bending force on the iPad, especially in turbulence. This would not noticeably add to bulkiness.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Strap in need of attention!!!

The MyClip is a great product with a few items that need to be addressed by the engineers and designers. Some thoughts follow that will truely make this indespensible.

The strap needs to be addressed. It is fine for small women or small legged men. There are a few in our flight department who work out (extensively.) their legs are of a greater circomfrence than the smaller person. The strap should be longer (or have an extension available at no charge) for the larger leg.

The strap should have some elasticity to it so that it will, once on the leg, allow for movement so that it can be moved fore and aft on the leg without a total disassembly and re-attachment. This will also accomplish some of the solution to larger legs.

I am giving the product a "recommend" but only after some design attention!
