The 122-12HT Sky-Tec Original Hi-Torque Starter has been developed and tweaked over almost twenty years for use with Lycoming engine-powered aircraft. It is a lightweight aircraft starter that is designed to spin the propeller twice as fast during start, and is the perfect aircraft starter for helicopter, bush plane, and charter operations due to its reliability and rugged design. It is made of rugged, all metal gears, 2x steel ball bearing races, a heavy-duty drive, and a powerful field wound motor.
