How does it differ from the HMEC 460? It has a 6-pin redel connector that you can use for headphones, microphone and the NoiseGard technology that comes standard with this headset. It is capable of stereo/mono operation and can be connected to a cell-phone or audio-in source. This aviation headset has lightweight ear cups with extra padding on both the cups and the headband for comfort, even during long hauls. Switch the microphone boom from left to right. The active noise cancellation feature is ideal for very noisy environments. You can power this either with 2 AA batteries or the XLR-3 connector on the unit.
