This high performance, solvent-based viscous stripper is used to strip aircraft primers, epoxy, polyurethane and other organic coatings from metal surfaces.
Works well at temperatures ranging from 45° to 95°F. Spray or brush undiluted PR-3500 paint stripper onto surface. Allow at least 15 minutes for the paint to be loosened. Agitate to dislodge loosened paint, then squeegee stripper residues and paint from the surface. Plastics sheeting placed under the aircraft has been found to be useful to facilitate the collection of paint stripper residue. Conditions of humidity and temperature will dictate dwell time. Clean stripped surface with ED-500 to remove all stripper residue. If PR-3500 accidentally contacts the skin, flood affected area with water. If further treatment is required, apply some ointment or salve to replace oils and soothe the skin. In case of contact with eyes, flush thoroughly with water and seek medical attention. PR-3500 must be used with adequate ventilation, due to the high-chlorinated solvent content. When application is made on a large scale, full wash rack gear consisting of rubber boots, gloves, foul-weather gear, and facemask should be worn to minimize contact of the material with the skin. |
