The Plane Power AL12-EI60/C Case Mount Experimental Aircraft Alternator kit is an internally regulated (14volt +-0.3) alternator kit including voltage regulator, overvoltage protection, brackets, pulley, mounting hardware and belt for use in EXPERIMENTAL aircraft.

 
MOUNTING SYSTEMS



There are two basic types of mounting systems on Lycoming engines: Boss Mount and Case Mount.

If your engine has something that looks a lot like this:



You have a "BOSS MOUNT".  Order your Plane-Power alternator by specifying a model number ending in .../B.  Your alternator kit will come with a small bracket that attaches to this boss.



If your engine does not have the alternator boss in the photo above, order your Plane-Power alternator by specifying a model number ending in .../C.  Your alternator kit will come with a bracket that attaches to three of the bolts holding the case halves together.
