The Plane Power AL12-EE70/C Case Mount Experimental Aircraft Alternator kit is an externally regulated alternator kit including pulley, brackets, mounting hardware & belt for EXPERIMENTAL aircraft applications.

 
MOUNTING SYSTEMS



There are two basic types of mounting systems on Lycoming engines: Boss Mount and Case Mount.

If your engine has something that looks a lot like this:



You have a "BOSS MOUNT".  Order your Plane-Power alternator by specifying a model number ending in .../B.  Your alternator kit will come with a small bracket that attaches to this boss.



If your engine does not have the alternator boss in the photo above, order your Plane-Power alternator by specifying a model number ending in .../C.  Your alternator kit will come with a bracket that attaches to three of the bolts holding the case halves together.
