Permatex® Plastic Cleaner is a white, creamy liquid with a mild, pleasant odor. The principal use for Permatex® Plastic Cleaner was in the aviation field for cleaning plastic windows and canopies. However, because of its excellent properties, has many applications in automotive, marine, motorcycle and industrial areas as well as numerous household uses. It is specifically developed for use as a polish and cleaner capable of removing accumulated service soils and producing a smooth, lustrous finish on clear and pigmented plastic surfaces. Although Permatex® Plastic Cleaner was developed for use on clear surfaces made of acrylic polymer (Lucite, Plexiglass, etc.), it is also effective on other plastic surfaces, clear or opaque, including polycarbonates (Lexan), acetates, rigid vinyls, polystyrene (Polysar, Styron) and high pressure laminates (Formica, Nevamar, Lamin-art, Textolite). It may also be used as a cleaner and polish for hard enameled surfaces, glass, ceramics and stainless steel. Conforms to Federal Specification P-P 560, Type I.
