    Additional Uses for Marvel Mystery Oil
  • Automatic Transmission: The formula for Marvel Mystery Oil is very similar to an old Marvel product called Automatic Transmission Sealer & Conditioner, MM250. For transmissions that are sticking, sluggish or leaking, add 1-pint of Marvel Mystery Oil to the transmission.
  • Air Tool Oil: The formula for Marvel Mystery Oil and Marvel Air Tool Oil are very similar. Marvel Air Tool Oil contains a heavy duty corrosion additive which is not in the Marvel Mystery Oil. Otherwise, they are the same formula. If moisture in compressed air is not a problem, Marvel Mystery Oil can easily be used as an air tool oil. Apply a couple of drops of Marvel Mystery Oil to oil ports several times a day when used frequently and for prolonged periods of time.
  • Gun Oil: All guns should be cleaned and oiled after using. Gun owners use a variety of products to lubricate their weapons before storing. Mostly, gun oil is a thin non-detergent oil. Marvel Mystery Oil is preferred by many gun owners as their choice for a gun oil. Other oils used are Kroil, WS-40, 10W motor oil. The weapon is taken apart and cleaned and then wiped with a rag containing the Marvel Mystery Oil to leave a thin coat of oil on all the metal parts.
