Great value ANR headsetBy Chip from Minneapolis, MN on January 19, 2012 I used a similarly priced ANR headset from Telex for a few years. I would say this is comparable, but as a bonus includes bluetooth calling and better audio quality. However I do notice some "warbiling" if the ear seals aren't seated perfectly. This also happens when chewing gum, eating, etc. Not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of. The weight and comfort seem to be average for the number of headsets I have used. I have demo'd the Bose headsets, but cannot bring myself to spend the big bucks for something that does the same thing.
I think these might also fit someone with a smaller head better than most headsets. Maybe even a good size for a child. I have a bigger head and they fit pretty well, but after a few hours I find myself trying to adjust them to relieve some pressure. Pros:The sierra box indicates that these are designed and assembled in the USA. Cons:Somewhat finicky ear seals that can create some distortion. Compared to passive Sennheisers the Sierras are next to equal. But when switched to active noise cancellation mode it's almost that you are in total silence and the engine has gone. All ATC communication is much better to understand!
But beware: Even the stall warning sound is next to not noticeable with the Sierras (it will be the same with all ANR headsets)
I recommend the Sierra for it's excellent performance and comfort!
Maybe there are better ANR headsets available. But for me the difference of $400 is not worth their benefits. I knew I'd need a good headset because I'd be in the air constantly but I couldn't justify the price of the Zulu or the Bose.
This was the perfect compromise. It has everything I need and nothing I don't at a price that didn't make me ill. I like the build quality and the ANR is very good. The auto-off function saves me from dead batteries but it also keeps me from using the headset as a fancy set of headphones (lame, but that ANR really blocks out distractions when studying).
The battery pack is a little awkwardly placed and tends to hang in a precarious spot over the edge of the seat. Really a small problem, easily fixed with the built in clip.
All in all, I'm 12 hours of flight into the headset and I am more than satisfiedPros:Quality

is free from all material defects in workmanship and materials. For the New Headset, all warranties provided by LSA and all implied warranties imposed
by law are limited to a 5-year period, beginning on the purchase date shown on the New Headset’s sales receipt ("Warranty Period"). This
5-year Limited Warranty ("Limited Warranty") is provided solely for the benefit of the initial purchaser of the New Headset (
"Purchaser"), and it excludes all 3rd parties, including distributors, dealers, retailers, subsequent owners, and other users
of the New Headset. This Limited Warranty is not assignable and remains in full force and effect during the Warranty Period, but only if the New Headset: (a) has been properly maintained; (b) has not been
abused or misused; and (c) has not been repaired, altered, or modified without LSA’s approval. This Limited Warranty

all material defects in workmanship and materials during the Warranty Period and for a period of up to 90 days thereafter,
but only to the extent that such event occurs during the final 90 days of the Warranty Period. LSA may, in its sole discretion,
(i) establish separate, additional, non-warranty repair and replacement programs for any new or used headset ("Non-
Warranty Service Programs"), (ii) the Non-Warranty Service Programs may cover any time period, before or after any
Warranty Period has expired, and (iii) charge any amount and impose any term with respect to any Non-Warranty Service
Program. For Non-Warranty Service Programs, LSA warrants that all new, used, reconditioned, or refurbished parts and
headsets used to repair or replace any headset will be free from all material defects in workmanship and materials, but only
for a limited period of 90 days thereafter. Purchaser acknowledges that used or reconditioned parts may be used to repair
any new or used headset, and that a refurbished used headset may be provided as a replacement for any new or used
headset. LSA may hire a 3rd party to repair or replace any new or used headset. "Including" means "including, but not limited
