This lightweight shear will accurately cut aluminum up to 15 gauge, and mild steel up to 18 gauge without distorting, blurring or curling the edges of the cut. Interior cuts can easily be made by first drilling a 1/4" starter hole to accommodate the blade. The Monodex handle is made of a tough, durable plastic, which makes it extremely lightweight.
