J-B KWIK is the perfect partner for the J-B WELD you keep in your tool box. Lots of times, you need to fix something fast and don't have the time or patience to hold it for half an hour while the hardener sets up, or wait for it to cure overnight. That's why there's J-B KWIK!

How does it work?

J-B KWIK is packaged in two tubes. One contains liquid steel/epoxy resin, and the other contains hardener. When mixed together in equal portions, a chemical reaction occurs that turns the mixture into a compound as hard and tough as steel -- and with similar properties.

Because J-B KWIK cures so fast, it's not as strong or as heat-resistant as the original J-B WELD. For typical household maintenance and repairs, however, it's just about perfect. Many happy customers have told us they were finally able to repair annoying things around their homes when, for years, nothing else worked. We think you'll find J-B KWIK as magical and practical in your home, too.

How to use it:

Use J-B KWIK as an adhesive, laminate, plug, filler, sealant, and electrical insulator. Squeeze out equal portions from the black and orange tubes. Mix thoroughly. Clean surface to be bonded. Apply J-B KWIK, and let it cure. That's all there is to it!

Like metal, J-B KWIK can be formed, drilled, ground, tapped, machined, filled, sanded, and painted. It stays pliable for about 2 minutes after mixing, sets in just 4 minutes, and cures fully in 4 hours. It's water-proof, petroleum-, chemical-, and acid-resistent; resists shock, vibration, and extreme temperature fluctuations, and withstands temperatures up to 300° F. J-B KWIK is super strong, non-toxic, and safe to use. Before it sets, you can clean up with soap and water.

What does it bond to?

Virtually any combination of iron, steel, copper, aluminum, brass, bronze, pewter, porcelain, ceramic, marble, glass, PVC & ABS, concrete, fiberglass, wood, fabric, paper -- just about any porous and non-porous material.

  • MIXING:J-B KWIK consists of two parts. Squeeze equal parts from each tube onto any clean disposable surface. Mix together thoroughly. A wooden dowel or paddle is a good mixing tool.
  • PREPARING SURFACE:Surface for application must be clean, dry, and free of dirt, grease, oil, etc. Remove any paint, primer, rust, etc. before applying J-B KWIK. For the best weld, roughen surfaces to be welded with fine or course sandpaper.
  • APPLICATION:Apply with putty knife, spoon, wooden paddle, or other suitable tool. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. May be applied in an even coat, weld bead, or extruded shape as needed.
  • DRYING:IMPORTANT:Mix only the amount that will be needed, as the mixture sets in 4 minutes. If the temperature is below 40 F, setting time is longer. The mixture will become warm while it sets. No clamping is needed. Only minimal pressure while setting.
