TURCO 5351 THIN is an amber, diphase liquid developed to remove epoxy, polyurethane and other catalyzed finishes from ferrous and nonferrous surfaces. TURCO 5351 THIN remover does not contain free acidic or alkaline constituents and is approved for use on high strength steels. It should not be used on surfaces that are affected by chlorinated hydrocarbons. Same as T-5351, but thinner for immersion removal. Tanks: Tanks and associated equipment may be fabricated from mild steel or stainless steel. Stainless steel is preferred. Concentration: Use at full strength, as received. Application: Immerse parts into stripper, below the seal layer. The seal layer retards evaporation of solvents and does not have stripping capabilities. Allow sufficient time for stripper to loosen finish. Rinse: Remove parts from stripper tank and rinse with high volume, high pressure cold water. Seal Maintenance: The seal layer is gradually depleted through evaporation and drag-out. Maintain seal layer at 10% by volume by addition of clean, cool water. Stripper Control: Normal adjustments will require water only, but extended heavy use may also require additions of solvent. Refer to your TURCO Sales Engineer for specific recommendations. Disposal Information: Dispose of spent stripper per local, state and regional regulations. Refer to TURCO MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET for additional disposal information. DANGER! TURCO 5351 THIN contains methylene chloride, phenol and sodium chromate. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Do not take internally. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapors. Use with adequate (equivalent to outdoor) ventilation. Protective clothing, such as a chemical face shield or goggles and gloves, apron and boots, made from solvent resistant materials should be worn when handling and using this product. Containers exposed to moderate heat, above 32°C may develop sufficient internal pressure to rupture. Use care in opening containers to avoid spurting. Before using this product refer to container label and TURCO MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET for additional precautionary, handling and first aid information. |
