Helicopter Route Charts
The lion's share of helicopters are flying over cluttered airspaces — Chicago, Houston, Boston, Los Angeles, New York. For the helicopter pilot, it's fast and furious on any given day. With four classes of helipads, which can pop up just about anywhere in urban environments and not necessarily a lot of space between pads, it's nice to know where they all are.
Helicopter Route Charts regularly provide that information. Other than that, it simply pays to have good charts, "good" being defined as up-to-date. A helicopter route chart's ability to show the relative use of various helipads in an area, probably on its own makes it worth the purchase.
These four-color depictions, to be printed on synthetic paper, show several key helicopter areas, helping pilots with information on lighting, NAVAIDS, geographical features and lots more. See our listing for publication dates so you can be sure you have the latest.
