Application Procedure: NOTE: Mixed repair material must be used within 2 hours. Application of 74-451AE kit is not recommended below 50°F (10° C), as repair material may not dry. 1. Clean de-icer surface to be repaired with detergent and hot water using lint-free cloth to remove dirt, grease and cosmetic coatings. Repeat until oil and silicone contamination is removed. 2. Isolate repair area with buffing template. Buff isolated area with Scotch Brite or equivalent. 3. Wipe isolated area with lint-free cloth dampened with alcohol or equivalent cleaning solvent and allow to dry. 4. Secure application template with hole centered over pinhole. CAUTION: Recap accelerator tightly after use as accelerator will harden if not sealed completely. 5. Open foil overpack of 74-451-209 cement. Clip corner of Appli-pak pouch and squeeze cement into mixing cup. Make sure that all material from pouch is squeezed into mixing cup to assure proper mix ratio with accelerator. 6. Add seven (7) drops of 74-451-201 accelerator. Mix thoroughly with wooden stir stick for one minute, making sure material on sides of cup is thoroughly mixed. CAUTION: Remove application template as soon as repair material is applied and leveled to assure smooth appearance. 7. Apply repair material into hole in application template with wooden stir stick. Push repair material firmly into pinhole. Level repair material with application tool. NOTE: If repair material is spilled on undamaged de-icer surface, remove immediately with Toluene. 8. Allow 2 hours dry time prior to flying the aircraft or inflating de-icer. Your question might already be answered below, wouldn't that be a time saver!
