An affordable, handheld GPS system, the Garmin Aera 500 is the base model in this breakthrough new Garmin series. Navigate with the touch of your fingertips – the high resolution 4.3" QVGA sunlight readable touch screen display is so intuitive, Garmin Vice President Gary Kelley claims that "many [users] will never have to crack open the manual." The Garmin Aera 500 is the most affordable version of the series. You’ll be pleasantly surprised with the high level of graphic detail when looking at the TAWS-like color coded maps and terrain and aviation databases. Pop up alerts warn you of obstructions and ground proximity conflicts for maximum safety, and both overhead and vertical viewing options improve situational awareness. Once your head and your plane are out of the clouds, drive to your favorite haunts on dry ground using the Aera’s land navigation system, which employs the same technology as the uber popular Garmin Nuvi. You’ll enjoy turn-by-turn directions and text-to-speech that clarifies street names.

1. Once the order for the new unit has been placed you will receive an Invoice via e-mail. Print a copy of this Invoice and include it with the "Trade" so we know who, what, when, where and why about the old unit coming back. All trade-in units need to be on our dock within 15 days from the date the new unit purchased is received. Please re-inspect your trade-in before shipping it to us and make sure it's complete.
2. Conditions: Trade-in units must be in “like new” condition and include all original accessories. Any known problems with the unit (missing parts, damage) must be discussed with us before the unit is sent to us. Use common sense!!! We have to say it - SkyGeek reserves the right to deny a trade if these conditions are not met.
3. You send the trade back to us using whatever shipping method makes you happy (you pay for the shipping). Remember to reference the return number given to you on the outside of the box.
4. IMPORTANT: Credit for the trade will not be given until we have evaluated your traded unit.
5. If all is well, we will credit the card used to purchase the NEW unit for the agreed-upon trade-in value.
