Introducing the Garmin Aera 500 GPS for the Americas! As if Garmin didn’t already have a ridiculous following and GPS units superior to most others out
there, they are launching a new line of aviation GPS units. The Geeks, with all of our stealthy prowess, actually managed to get a hold of a few, and
therefore we are one of the first few to offer these revolutionary new systems.
The Garmin Aera 500 GPS is like the test drive. If you want to see what these babies have to offer, but you’re not sure you want to buck up for the higher
level GPS units, the Garmin Aera 500 is definitely the place to start. A touch screen portable, this geektastically cool unit navigates both air and land
with an intuitive icon-driven interface (read: you push the pretty pictures on the 4.3" QVGA widescreen, you get what you’re looking
for). The unit is XM wireless compatible for power, music and accurate, up to date information. The aviation GPS comes equipped with preloaded SafeTaxi
charts and AOPA data, and the driving GPS features the same easy-to-use features of the uber popular Garmin Nuvi. It even tells you what street you’re on
(which you’ll appreciate when you’re used to taking a left at the next cumulonimbus).
