| An ELT can save your life! An ELT (Emergency Locator Transmitter) is designed to emit an Emergency signal on 121.5MHz and 243.0MHz automatically on impact. This is done either by manual activation or by the use of a switch. An ELT gives Search and Rescue teams a much better chance of pinpointing the exact location of a downed aircraft.
