antiquated connector

It's rather absurd to require a 2-piece cable to connect the Vertex Standard to a computer. And why is this half of the cable not USB? Instead, it uses the very antiquated DB-9 RS-232 serial connector.

$79 total for an absurdity that might have been useful in the 1990's.
