| STC No. SA02221AK for Burl's Aircraft new design replacement fuel screens that fit in the fuel bladders on Cessna 180's, early model 182's and all 185's was issued February 2005. These new replacement fuel screens are fabricated from a single piece of aluminum tubing that has the screen drilled into the side walls. After deburring and cleaning, the end is spun shut. This design allows a 3 GPH higher fuel flow rate over the original part. In addition, because the Burl's fuel screen design is a single piece it is stronger and easier to install, without fear of bending, cracking or breaking of the screen portion.
