Got a Gill G-35 in your Cessna 180, 182 or 185 way back in the tailcone? Tired of barely getting one blade stroke due to corroded cables?

With Burl's Aircraft FAA-PMA'd Odyssey battery tray you can remove everything from your tailcone (G-35 battery, Battery Box, APU Plug and battery cable ) and install this professionally built unit on your firewall. In total you will be removing approximately 34 lbs of antiquated material and replacing it with a FAA-PMA'd Odyssey SBS-J16 Sealed Battery. This kit is the perfect first step if you might install the Selkirk Extended Baggage kit.

This installation is for Seaplane/Float kitted Cessna 180, 182 & 185 and is not FAA STC'd. It will require an FAA337 Field approval. The battery box is FAA-PMA'd and to facilitate a smooth FAA Field Approval installation the following items are supplied:

FAA-PMA approved stainless Battery Tray

Aluminum reinforcement Angles to firmly anchor this unit into the Heatbox structure

Detailed Installation instructions along with a CAD Blueprint

Instructions for continued airworthiness

Updated Weight and Balance information

FAA-PMA approved optional stainless Heat Shield is required on all Cessna firewall installations due to the heat from the Aircraft's exhaust)
