Bostik Boscodur 4L Liquid Adhesive - Quart - A-6741-114-2

Boscodur 4L (formerly Boscodur 9RX) is a polyisocyanate designed to be used in solvent-based adhesives and coatings where enhanced properties are required. Generally Boscodur 4L (Part B) is blended into the adhesive or coating (Part A) at 2 to 10% levels and used as a batch within 4 to 6 hours of mixing.

• Increases the molecular weight and, therefore, enhances the final physical properties of Bostik polyesters for optimum performance.
• Upgrades such properties as thermal stability, oil, water, solvent, and chemical resistances of many important classes of industrial adhesives (nitriles, chloroprenes, polyesters, and polyurethanes).
• Enhances adhesion to various substrates such as plasticized vinyl, treated polyethylene and polypropylene and polyester film.

Applications

Added to various adhesives to effect cross-linking with the base polymer, upgrade their thermal stability and resistance, and enhance their adhesion to certain substrates.

Refer to individual Bostik adhesive product data sheets, which detail the use of Boscodur 4L with specific Bostik products. Add solvent thinner, when necessary, immediately after mixing Boscodur curing agent into adhesive.
