This Aviall ELT Battery pack is approved under FAA TSO C-91 with no A.D. notes applicable. Manufactured around an all Alkaline construction these batteries have a (2) two year useful life.

This battery is a direct replacement for the following ELT's:

  • Sharc 7 & Deft 1

    or ELT Battery Part Number:

  • Artex: 00-04-006A
  • Merl: BP1015
  • Cessna: C589510-2010
    1. Remove the transmitter cover screws.
    2. Remove the cover and cover gasket from the transmitter case.
    3. Disengage the battery connector and remove the expired battery pack.
    4. Install the BS2190 battery pack into the battery compartment of the transmitter.
    5. Engage the battery pack and transmitter connectors and route the wires to eliminate any possible interference.
    6. Replace the cover gasket and cover.
    7. Replace the cover screws and tighten uniformly.
    8. Remove the old battery label from the side of the transmitter case.
    9. Place the new battery label on the side of the transmitter case near the identification label.
    10. Follow the directions in the transmitter operators manual regarding re-installation
    11. Place the date label into the log book.

It is the responsibility of those installing this article either on or within a specific type or class of aircraft to determine that the aircraft installation conditions are within the TSO standards. TSO articles must have separate approval for installation in an aircraft. The article may be installed only if performed under 14 CFR part 43 or the applicable airworthiness requirements."
