Constructed of heavy-duty cast iron, Tennsmith's foot squaring shears give you rugged construction for an affordable price, but just because it's affordable doesn't mean it won't work as well as the more expensive machines. Tennsmith ensures a square cut every time by surface grinding the shear bed to precision tolerances which gives you the most accurate working surface possible. The shears feature triaction, high-carbon high-chromium (HCHC) steel blades which help prevent material movement while shearing, prolonging the blade life. Both the upper and lower blades have a 2º edge relief for maximum material penetration with minimum effort.

Tennsmith shears offer the most complete adjustment features of any metal shear on the market. While the lower blade is bed-adjusting, the upper blade is adjustable through the use of a truss bar on the cutter head. You can securely clamp your work piece in place with the spring-activated hold-down feet which are also adjustable to compensate holding pressure for light or heavy gauge material. Tennsmith's squaring shears feature user-friendly advancements, such as ample clearance between the hold-down feet and the shear blades, giving good operator vision for line-of-sight cutting. A standard double-locking back gauge offers highly accurate readings thanks to the embossed scales and vernier wheels for fine adjustments.
