The Airwolf Oil Filter Cutter has been hailed as the “best filter cutter we’ve ever used” by AOPA Pilot, and with good reason -- it’s unique design makes it a snap to cut through any type of oil filter.

It’s also currently the only oil filter cutter available that will cut through the new-style Champion filters with the thicker casing.

The Airwolf is machined from solid 6061-T6 Aircraft-Grade Aluminum and fitted with stainless steel rollers for smooth cutting. The high carbon steel cutting blade is hardened to 60 Rockwell and honed to razor sharpness to produce clean, consistent cuts. Every mechanic knows that an oil filter cutter is an essential tool; and if you demand the best, then the Airwolf is for you.

The normal accepted practice is to cut your filter open at each and every oil change. This is "the" easiest way to immediately determine the health of your engine. Every A&P practices this ritual. No one wants to find metal in their oil filter, but it is far better to find out on the ground, than in the air!

Not only does the Airwolf AFC-470-1 cutter save you time, but you can get it for a fraction of the $200 Champion price. And, it is far better than the flimsy $49 cutters you might be tempted to buy.

Guaranteed satisfaction, view it for 30 Days. If for any reason it does not meet your expectations, return it for a full refund.

Special Notice for all owner of the Original AFC-470 Oil Filter Cutter!

When the major filter manufactures changed their oil filters to their new -1 filters a few years ago, they changed the thickness of the bottom of their filters which can cause reduced life and or breaking of our cutter wheel. While Airwolf was not pleased that the filter manufactures made this change, they had no choice but to come up with a solution for the thousands of cutters already out in the field.

Airwolf now offers an upgrade kit to convert the original AFC-470 cutters to the new AFC-470-1 style. It comes with everything needed for the upgrade. It will take about 30 minutes of your time to install the new parts and once done, no more cutter wheel breakage.
