Best value
By chuck from Georgia on March 11, 2012
After using this headset for 10 to 15 flights I now feel good about giving my opinion. The sound quality is very good, the noise reduction is just right. The engine noise is greatly reduced, but I can still hear the stall warning, which is good. The only problem I've had so far is the same as others have had, they begin to get uncomfortable after some time wearing them, but up to an hour or more it's fine. I may break down and get the gel pads as others have suggested, but for now I'll put up with this minor discomfort. I don't believe there is a better headset for a lower price, even a used one. It sure beats the loaners at the flight school.
Pros:
It works very well.
The best value for the money.
Cons:
Become uncomfortable on flights longer than 1 1/2 hours.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

love my headset
By curtnmar@juno.com from Burleson on November 4, 2011
i read most of the reviews before making my choice of this headset. i have used it on several flights without any complaints. I did follow the suggestion to replace the foam ear cups with the gel. I'm sure that improved the comfort level. In the future i might step up to the active noise cancelling type. but $110 vs $300 to $900. not a hard decision. Plus lifetime warranty!
Pros:
price and lifetime warranty
Cons:
none

great product
By Hendrik from Sarasota, Florida on October 25, 2011
first of all : it came with lightning speed ! overnight for under $ 10 shipping cost, secondly : I tried it the same day and could not tell the difference between the david clark headset that was almost 4 times the money. I can only say to all beginning fellow pilots : don't even look further , this is the best and cheapest , you can always use it as a back up later , very clear mic , even better than the davis clark ! pads are extremely comfortable and the weight is incredible light with a lifetime warranty !! thanks !!
Pros:
light weight , yet very sturdy, nice flexible boom mike with clear voice, fits snug and is easy to stow and wear, just one great product !!
Cons:
nothing .

Quality headset & Customer Service
By Phil from Mankato, Minnesota on October 15, 2011
I ordered this headset and it partially did not work. One of the ears had no audio. I emailed the customer service department about the issue, they emailed me back and said unfortunately that occasionally happens and that they would be shipping a new headset to me via overnight at no cost to me. They also paid for the return shipping of the faulty set. The second headset works like a charm. I do agree with other reviewers of this product that the ea pieces would probably become uncomfortable on flights in excess of 1.5 hours but that can be resolved by upgrading to the gels. The mic and audio quality on the replacement set rivals my 300 dollar david clarks the customer service from sky geek was also top notch.
Pros:
Audio quality
Mic quality
Duel volume control
Customer service
Cons:
Discomfort after 1.5 hours

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Value for money
By Zad from Singapore on July 7, 2011
The product arrived and it looks perfect . Fits perfectly. Work well.
The best thing was I ordered on Friday night like midnite and it arrived at my doorstep on Monday morning 10:30am. I chose Fedex priority. And I live in Singapore. I mean Skygeek has to be that efficient in order for it to arrive that soon.

Pros:
Prompt delivery
Nice design
Cons:
Nothing YET so far.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Good
By b from richwhat, ky on February 11, 2011
Ive had the this headset all the way through my instrument, commercial, and CFI and it has worked really well. The sound coming through it is always clear and the individual volume knobs are really handy. The only problem with them is that after about 3 hours of flight they start to feel really tight on the head, but for just training hops it works great for the price.
Pros:
Price, sound, adjustable volume, durability
Cons:
After about three hours they get tight on the head.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Very nice headset
By Thomas on October 3, 2009
I've had this headset for over a year now, and it has worked perfectly. This is my first headset, but have about 70 hours with it and I've had no problems. Very well constructed. I purchased it along with the gel cups and bag. Very happy.
