This AeroFix 406 Personal Locator Beacon features a GPS interface plus an onboard GPS. Activate the PLB and it will acquire GPS coordinates, ensuring you'll safe where ever you fly. Transmits a 5 watt distress message with your unique ID (UIN) so rescuers know who you are and where you are worldwide. 100-meter position accuracy when GPS coordinates are present. Operating life requirement: +24 hours @ -4°F (-20°C) The smalled PLB on the market, the AeroFix 406 is only 1.74" x 5.71" x 3.03" without its protective holster, which allows for multiple mounting options on flight suits, backpacks, webbing and life vests. Battery power indicator alerts user when less than 24 hours of operating life remains. The powder-coated flat antenna wraps compactly around the beacon for easy, reliable deployment while the simple, simultaneous two-button activation helps prevent false alarms. Conformally coated electronics provide the best frequency stability available for the most accurate position. Exceeds RTCM waterproof requirements for Category 1 (buoyant) PLBs, tested to 5 meters.
