Great Value for Occasional work
As the builder, owner, repairman of an experimental LSA, these pliers are a great bargain as they will see only occasional use. If I were an A & P, needing this type of tool every day, I would probably step up to a more expensive unit.
ProsPrice Do the job they need to do. Won't cry if they go missing.
ConsNeeds quite a bit of effort to work latch.

You get what you pay for
Up front they DO WORK and the price is right for occasional use but not for daily production use. I have been using Safety wire pliers for 30 years and these are the hardest to lock/unlock I have ever used. Admittedly, I have only used more expensive pliers in the past but you need an 90# grip to lock/unlock the handles without wire and MORE with wire in the jaws.
ProsThey do work Price is right for occasional use.
ConsNeed a strong grip to lock/unlock even without wire in the jaws Don't cut .02" wire cleanly No perpendicular channel for your initial twist

Price and Functionaity
I was looking for an affordable solution for small projects. As with anything at the lower end of a price point I like to hold my opinion until I use the product awhile.
ProsPrice Works OK Holds Wire Securely Uniform Twist to Wires
ConsNone "yet".

6" safety wire pliers
I use safety wire pliers for kart racing. My old pair finally gave up after 20 years or so (the cheap sheet metal latch mechanism failed and I lost the spring). I almost bought an expensive pair (approx $80), but saw some OK reviews on this pair, so I tried them. I know I can get them at Harbor Freight, but after I drive there and pay sales tax it's a better deal and big time saver to get them delivered to my door from SkyGeek. These are just like the ones that lasted 20 years, so they will be perfect for me and save some $'s.
