AeroShell 500 is one of Shell’s premier turbine oils. Originally developed for Pratt & Whitney 521 B Type II and MIL –L-23699 engines, AeroShell Turbine Oil 500 is formulated to meet the demands of civil and military engines requiring high performance lubricant.

AeroShell 500 Turbine Oil uses components known to maintain viscosity and more effectively protect engine components under high shear stresses. The High Viscosity Index Synthetic Base Fluids used in this specialty turbine oil maintain stability, even under extremely high temperatures and oxidation. Unlike other lubricants on the market, the AeroShell 500 is designed for clean running. In other words, they dissolve all the junk in your engine instead of leaving damaging deposits, improving flight performance and lengthening the life of your aircraft’s engine. Throw in its excellent load carrying capabilities and its low volatility characteristics, and you’ve got yourself an outstanding lubricant.

Land- and sea-based derivatives of approved aero-engines retain essential design elements from certain aircraft engines. Therefore, AeroShell 500 may also be used in industrial and marine versions of approved aero-engines. In fact, engine manufacturers of these derivatives approve its use in their machines, providing you with a more versatile lubricant.
