You have your choice of the 296’s automotive or marine modes at the push of a button. The automatic log-book calculates your flight time and records departure and arrival locations automatically. When used with FlightBook (Garmin's free logbook software) the 296 makes easy work of logbook maintenance. Your flight information is stored in the 296 unit and can be downloaded to the Flightbook software any time you want.

1. Once the order for the new unit has been placed we will give you a reference number for the trade. We will also send you an email with the address to send it back to. Please include all original packaging.
2. Conditions: Trade-in units must be in “like new” condition and include all original accessories. Any known problems with the unit (missing parts, damage) must be discussed with us before the unit is sent to us. Use common sense!!! We have to say it - SkyGeek reserves the right to deny a trade if these conditions are not met.
3. You send the trade back to us using whatever shipping method makes you happy (you pay for the shipping). Remember to reference the return number given to you on the outside of the box.
4. IMPORTANT: Credit for the trade will not be given until we have evaluated your traded unit.
5. If all is well, we will credit the card used to purchase the NEW unit for the agreed-upon trade-in value.
